NATIONAL STAMP DAY The South African Post Office offers various services to meet its clients' needs. 50cBulk mail Bulk mail allows clients to receive a postage discount on bulk postal articles, provided the postal articles are made up according to the Post Office's requirements. With bulk mail, stamps need not always be used. 70c Proof of delivery A letter of which the contents are of no intrinsic value, may be certified. This will ensure that this postal article will be delivered only against the recipient's signature and identity number on the proof of delivery. Certification of a letter costs less than the registration thereof. 95c Registered mail Letters may be registered to ensure special treatment during handling and dispatch. The sender obtains proof of posting the article, and the signature and identity number of the recipient are required on the proof of delivery. It is recommended that this service be used for important letters. R1,15 Express delivery All postal articles, with the exception of cod and insured parcels, may be sent by express delivery. Such articles are delivered against a signature during normal business hours. Postal articles addressed to a private postbox are immediately sorted into the postbox. NASIONALE SEËLDAG Die Suid-Afrikaanse Poskantoor bied verskillende dienste aan om in sy kliënte se behoeftes te voorsien. 50c Massapos Massapos maak voorsiening daarvoor dat kliënte posgeldafslag kry op posstukke wat in grootmaat ingelewer word mits dié posstukke volgens die Poskantoor se vereistes opgemaak is. Vir massapos hoef daar nie altyd van seëls gebruik gemaak te word nie. 70c Bewys van aflewering 'n Brief waarvan die inhoud nie van noemenswaardige waarde is nie, kan gesertifiseer word. Dit sal verseker dat dié posstuk teenoor die handtekening en identiteitsnommer van die ontvanger op die afleweringsbewys afgelewer word. Die sertifisering kos minder as die registrasie van 'n brief. 95c Geregistreerde pos Briewe kan geregistreer word ten einde spesiale behandeling tydens die hantering en versending daarvan te verseker. Die afsender ontvang 'n bewys dat die brief gepos is en die handtekening en identiteitsnommer van die ontvanger word op die afleweringsbewys vereis. Dié diens word aanbeveel vir belangrike briewe. R1,15 Spoedbestelling Alle posstukke, behalwe kba- en versekerde pakkette, kan per spoedafleweringdiens gestuur word. Sulke posstukke word tydens normale sake-ure spesiaal teen 'n handtekening afgelewer. Posstukke wat aan 'n privaat posbus gerig is, word dadelik in die privaat bus geplaas.
