front

Cachet: The cachet shows a large carved wooden vessel standing tall in the foreground, drawn in sepia line work. Its body is ringed with horizontal bands and it narrows into a slim pedestal base. Behind it a rounded clay pot is sketched in a paler sage tone, its surface patterned with a checked diamond design. The objects are shown standing on their own rather than in use, giving the illustration a quiet, museum-like feel. Below the drawing "1997 - Year of Cultural Experiences" appears in red serif type across the bottom of the cover.
